Bits of help

What people ask us :) Back!

Q by Shu: *making the question easier* How do fonts work on PSP9 or other programs?
A by Pia: After downloading fonts from their site, you probs need to unzip the file or maybe not, but use WinRar if you have to unzip. Then when the fonts have been unzip, you problably saved them on your Documents. Well, now you have to move the fonts files from Documents to Hardisc (C:) - Windows - Fonts. Then the fonts have now been installed! All you have to do is open any program you want, and TA DA! The new fonts will appear in the programs! :D Did you understand? :) I think you did it correctly, and don't need to do anything else, except using them xD LOL!

Fonts names: From Dafont!
Q: What's the name of the font "Edward Cullen" on this layout? Well, it's called GhostTown :)
Q: What's the font name of the header on the homepage? It's Arial :)
Q: What is the font you used in "GLOOMY TOWN OF" in your brushpack 01? It's called Hurricane!
Q: What's the font you use to write "TWILIGHTERS-" on most of your layouts? I'm not sure what font you mean, but I'm using pixel font: 04b_24 most. You can find that on Vejc-Design!
Q: What's the font of your current header 1? I'm sorry, I don't know the font. Yancey made the images, so she is the only one who knows, but now she is on vacation.
Q: What's the name of the font "Twilighters-'s Gallery" on this layout? Well, it's called Old English.

Q by Pooja: Okay, sorry to bother you AGAIN, but I have a question. *duh* In Paint shop pro 9, whenever I use transparent things like PNGS, or the doves at traumababy.. It always shows up with a black background. How do you get the black background to go away? Is there an easy way, or do you just have to erase it? kk, thanks guys! love you, pooja.
A by Pia: Heyy! haha, it's key xD Well, there is AN EASY WAY! XD lol! When ever you use PNGS (things without backgrounds). Did you copy it (them) right from the site? If you do that, the black background will always appear :P Thats the tricky part with pngs :P But I have a solution xD *yay* LOL! You have to SAVE THE FILE(S) and then open it (them) on any programs you are using :P Doesn't matter if it's PSP or PS XD LOL! That's what I always do :) Hope that help^^

Q by Kaelin: hey guys! i was wondering if u could show me how u get the dots and diff textures all around the blend.. example, ur homepage layout. like the dots the notebook circle and the pattern with twilighters- on it. i cant figure out how to do that! please help?
A by Pia: Hey Kaelin! :) I'm not sure on whut you mean... but we use our textures under the pics/blend/base, and then we erase the edge of the pics (like blending) :) but some of the textures have also been used upon the pics/blend/base :) and if we do that, we usually set the blend mode of the textures to diff mode. Like multiply, darken, lighten, and high light xD So you just need to keep trying, and see if the textures match the base/blend/pic :) Hope that help :D xx

Iframe:
Go to this site for the codes and instructions! Here!

Programs:
We use Adobe Photoshop (diff. versions) and Paint Shop Pro 9 for our Graphics. We are happy with the programs, and used to it. So it takes time to find your own program for your graphics. But yeah, we recommend those programs! :)

Dots:
Q: Where did you get the dots brushes in [this layout]?
A: Well, the dots aren't a brushes :P We were using a Pen Tool, and we choose Freehand type. Then here's the setting; Line Type: Diamond. Width: 2. NOTE: Make the Background and Fill Properties as TRANSPARENT.

Roses:
Q: Where did you get the roses in [this layout]?
A: From Google and search for ROSES. I can't find the exact roses anymore :\

Airplanes & Stars decors:
Q: Where did you get the airplanes and stars decors from?
A: The stars are fom Deviantart and the airplanes were made by our lovely friend Frankie! She has put them up now :P She gave us the first permission to use them :D YAY! lol!^^

Notebook Textures/Brushes:
Q: Where did you get the notebook textures from [this layout]?
A: From Deviantart and search for NOTEBOOK.

Trees:
Q: Where did you get the trees in [this layout]?
A: From Google and [here] it is :)

Pictures:
Q: Where did you get the picture of Taylor in [this layout]?
A: We got it from LionAndLambLove and we have it [here] :)

Miniblends page:
We basically used an image as a background, and then we made it fixed XD I'll show you how the image look like :) Here and then we just add the image url to this code:

Icon textures:
Same goes here.. search the word ICON TEXTURES on DEVIANTART. A lots pop up, I mean it :) A LOTS!

Butterflies:
We found ours from Google xD Search BUTTERFLIES.

Stocks and scans:
We found these on Deviantart as well :) Just search STOCKS xD We also use some from Icy-Sun, SwimChick, CitiesInDust, Instantrock and Oh-Vintage.

Bows, frames and flowers:
Okay, seriously.. you guys need to chill xD Anyhoo, we got the FRAMES and FLOWERS at DEVIANTART! Search for those words in the search bar :) Erm, some of you guys were saying you can't find any? Well, we did. and we searched for those words. But the BOWS were found at Traumababy & google the word BOWS at Google! :)

Dove or Eagle decors:
Made by our lovely affie Brenda @ Traumababy! Ly :)

Change text colour/outlined in PSP9:
First, do you have the materials pallette up? If not click here to get it up:) Now the materials pallette will appear to your right in PSP9. This is how it looks like! Alright, to the real deal :) Number 1 on the image is where you change colour to the outside of your text. While Number 2 is where you change colour to text inside of your text. Then a window like this will pop up (look carefully) :) But, if you dont want to have an outside of your text, you can click on the icon under the number 1 to make it transparent :) Hope this help (:

Radial Blur:
Aimee, I (Pia) showed you how to radial blur xD But I'll make a tutorial for you others, soon :)

Icons Section:
How do you make the texts in the outlined font, and stop them having a background in icons section? I (Pia) dont know what you mean actually, but I think I got it :P But if it wasn't correct, please tell :) Well, the texts was actually a part of an image, and then I made an imagemapping of it :) Here's the image without the links: Click! Well, you want to learn how to imagemappe? Click Icy-Sun! :)

Scipts, Effects and Actions:
Like it's with inspirations, we also experiment on effects :P But most of our scripts or actions or whatever you name them :P They are found from Swimchick & Outspoken-Kate :)

Eraser setting:
Well, we use different setting all the time, so we don't have permanet one :P But Pia's current is: (it's Paint Shop Pro 9's eraser setting btw) Size: 83 Hardness: 30 Step: 32 Density: 100 Thickness: 100 Rotation: 0 Opacity: 100

Inspirations:
Actually we experiment and try new things and ideas by ourselves, but we do have some site we adore and get some inspirations from :D They are: Traumababy, Instanrock and some livejournals we forgot :\ Sorry, they'll be added to credits page when we found them again :D So yeah ;)

Space remover:
There is no gap on our site (after the ads), because we got the ultimate members :) Thanks to you guys! :) But alots of people have asked how to remove the space gap, so we thought we'd look around find a tutorial for it :) Yeah, we did! Here's a tutorial on removing the gap/space on piczo: Granphic!

Ads & Toolbar remover: From Granphic!

Where did we get our textures: On DeviantArt!
Well, in the search bar type in; textures and then find the ones you want, click on it and then at the side there should be a download button, press download (note they don't always work or there might not be one, if so move on) then once downloaded you will need to extract the files, at the top of the file open there should be a extract button sometimes its at the side, depending on what computer you are using, just look around at the links, once you have pressed it go though the steps and then your done!
